2002/02 MX-5 1.8i Phoenix Limited Edition in Titanium Grey Metallic with Sienna Brown leather and body coloured factory hardtop, just 34,000 miles, 2 previous keepers, Mk2.5 UK car with full Mazda service history. Purchased direct from the owner in Suffolk , who had acquired a Merc SLK via a family member to replace his beloved MX-5 which incidently was originally a wedding present from him to his spouse! No; they are still together! This desireable special edition has received no cosmetic paintwork by us, merely a light professional valet and a good coat of wax. I cannot fault its appearance and it ran beautifully on the journey down. It is sometimes common pratice to charge extra for the hardtop - not so with us, it is included and we feel adds a certain something to the already very attractive lines. We are often asked about water ingress and our experience is that with an MX-5 irrespective of whether a hardtop or soft top is in situ; offers excellent protection from the elements. Hardtop removal is a straightforward affair and best effected by two people to avoid damage to paintwork. However once removed it easily carried by one person. Please bear in mind that you will need to provide a safe place to store your hardtop where it will not get damaged. The most common solution is to evict that idle teenager from your third bedroom!
